Biography

Garrett received his BS in Earth Science (concentrating in Economic Geology and Crystalline Deposits) from Indiana University in 2020. In May of 2021, he joined the IGWS staff as the Collections Technician. Garrett was tasked with acquiring and documenting Geologic samples. He also performed much of the Geophysical analysis' for the IGWS during this period.

Garrett, as of May 2022, is the Quaternary Stratigraphy and Geochronology (OSL) Laboratory Technician. He works directly with the IGWS' lead Surficial Geologists (Jose Luis Antinao and Henry Loope) to describe, analyze, and date Quaternary Geologic core and outcrops. Many of the samples that Garrett is tasked with analyzing are from northern Indiana, stemming from the Glacial Landscape that spans that portion of the state.
