Garrett graduated from Indiana University in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Earth Science, concentrating on Economic Geology and Crystalline Deposits. Garrett spent the majority of his undergraduate career focusing on Earth Science Analytics, Geophysics, and Igneous Petrology.
Since joining the IGWS, Garrett has expanded his Geological interests to include:
- Glacial Geomorphology
- Environmental Policy
Garrett oversees the Geologic Materials Testing Facility and coordinates with staff regarding their various needs within the building. He also assists with physical sample acquisition and documentation, acting as a liaison between the research and information services divisions of the survey.
