Issue: Limestone Month events in town are often disjointed and have low attendance due to varied marketing efforts. The public is, therefore, left to learn about scheduled events at the last minute and local museums do not collaborate their similar events.
Objective:
Approach: Invite regional collaborators to participate in a Limestone Month Festival on the first Saturday in June. The event will consolidate efforts in the county and serve as a 1-stop-shop for all Limestone Month activities in June. The IGWS will provide tables, chairs, and lunch to all volunteers.
Products:
Benefits: This event will consolidate IGWS outreach efforts for Limestone Month into a single event, which will free up valuable outreach time in a typically busy month. We will strengthen our collaborations with local and regional organizations and promote IGWS facilities and services to the general public.
