Issue: | Educational outreach programs are limited by the EOC's availability and supplies. Teachers and other community outreach leaders do not always want a staff-guided activity, nor do they always have the materials needed for geoscience activities. The Discovery Trunk program provides needed materials to educators (including K12 teachers, homeschool groups, and naturalists) and supports the use of IGWS collections. |
Objective: | This project will create new themed trunks for hydrogeology and paleontology topics. User feedback will inform trunk contents and each trunk will contain real specimens and/or replicas, a curriculum guide, and assorted support materials. |
