Issue: Indiana Watershed Groups, County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, County Farm Service Agency & Natural Resource Conservation Service offices, Water Utilities, Water Focused Associations and Organizations, State agencies and other groups are working toward water quality initiatives ultimately to ensure clean drinking water, quality habitat and water availability for future use.
Objective: To build partnerships throughout the state of Indiana that would support the development of unified educational program centered around water quality, drinking water, and actions for improvement.
Approach: Participate and provide leadership to groups focusing efforts on source water protection and developing consistent messaging resources for private well owners.
Products: Source Water Educational opportunities for water work operators and companies Funding options and opportunities uncovered as a significant objective Increase in participation of source water efforts around the state by landowners and utilities Increase in resources for private well owners in the state.
