Issue: Digital assets in the RS DAMS need to be described and properly organized for use and search-ability by various audiences. In addition a variety of minor and medium level changes and improvements are needed with the RS DAMS according to updates to the system and the needs of specific projects. This Intranet project covers all those types of task.
Objective: Addition of metadata to collections ingested into RS, digital curation and ingest of IGWS materials, alterations and refinements of elements of RS system.
Approach: During assorted odds and ends of time at work the DCM will do metadata cleaning and refinement work on selected projects. As well as carry out changes and improvements to the system during the course of working with other IGWS projects. This covers as well assessing various updates and changes to the RS system from its parent group.
Products: Improved metadata in IGWS RS collections.
Benefits: Effective and up to date RS DAMS.
