Issue: |
Indiana has numerous industrial mineral producers from aggregate to dimension stone limestone, gypsum, and sand and gravel. As a service to the state of Indiana and as a resource for IGWS geologists, the IGWS keeps a directory of these producers. The directory is updated approximately every 4 years with the last update in 2016. That update was the first fully digital product with an interactive we map. |
Objective: |
Update contact and geological information for industrial mineral producers in the stateof Indiana. |
Approach: |
Information will be gathered from IMAA, MSHA, and web sources. Phone calls may be needed. Databased information will be moved to the database coordinator and cartographer to update the website. |
