ANNOTATION: This map shows bedrock geology in the western quarter of the Muncie and eastern quarter of the Lafayette 1:100,000-scale quadrangles. The map was created by modeling rock unit boundary surfaces with computer gridding and contouring software and then locating subcrop lines by computing the intersections between rock unit boundary surfaces and the bedrock surface shown in OFS 00-15. Structure control is shown for the approximate top of the Trenton Limestone and top of Salamonie Dolomite. The shows structural features on the crest of the Kankakee Arch including the Fortville Fault and newly named structure, the Sharpsville Fault.

Notes: Publications in the Indiana Geological Survey Open-File series have been inconsistently named using a variety of series titles including "Open-File Report," "Open-File Map," and "Open-File Study." Prior to 1994, a publication in this series was generally referred to as an "Open-File Report" (but not always). To help reduce confusion created by these inconsistencies, the IGS now refers to every publication in the Open-File series as an "Open-File Study."
