The maps contain information from basic statewide base maps with county boundaries, earthquake epicenters and fault features, locations of glacial moraines, and others. Activities include drilling into layered cupcakes to demonstrate geologic coring, using whetstone cores to show ancient Earth-Moon tidal cycles, coloring pages with geologic themes, and more. Geologic information includes such information as a rock cycle diagram, information sheets on geodes or meteorites, and fossil or mineral collecting.
