Authors: Licia Weber

Mapping techniques have changed greatly since the first geologic maps were created by the Indiana Geological Survey in the 1800s. Our new poster calendar reflects these changes by contrasting a hand-drawn and lettered 1893 map with a present-day map made using a computerized geographic information system. The 2005 calendar, "Mapping Indiana Geology: Present and Past," measures 21 by 33 inches, and is printed in full color on heavy poster paper
