Indiana Board of LPG: Examinations

Persons applying for licensure as a professional geologist in the state of Indiana are required to pass a Board accepted examination. The ASBOG® examination is given twice annually. Applications and fees for examinations are due on or before the deadlines listed below.

Please use the Application to take the ASBOG Exam form to register for the exam. All fees must be in the form of a check, cashier’s check, or money order payable to “Indiana University.” We accept credit card (Visa, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard) payments online at https://igws.indiana.edu/lpg/.

The examination will be administered in two parts on each date given. The Fundamentals of Geology portion will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the dates above. The Practice of Geology portion will begin at 1:00 p.m. on the dates above. All exams will be given on the Indiana University Bloomington campus unless otherwise noted.
